On 2 May 2008 tropical cyclone Nargis hit the coast of Myanmar and devastated large parts of the low-lying delta region of the Irrawaddy River.

We, being an association from the South Asian Countries, it is our duty to help the cyclone victims recover from their grief. In this respect, URSASA is organizing a fund raising in association with University of Regina and Canadian Red Cross at the University of Regina.

We all request you to donate generously to help the cyclone victims. All arrangements have been made to make sure that the collected fund reaches the needy people. We made an agreement with the Canadian Red Cross, to be the medium to transfer the funds. So, all the funds collected will be forwarded to Canadian Red Cross.
