Women's Students' Director
Sofia Aman
Sofia Aman
Hi, my name is Sofia Aman and I'm running to be Women's Representative. I am in the Faculty of Arts taking Human Justice. I am an active member of the community both on and off campus. On campus, I'm a part of Amnesty International and the African Students Association. Off campus I am a member of SACHM- Saskatchewan African Canadian Heritage Museum, which I am currently taking part in developing a campus club for. Also, I am Youth Vice President of a provincial constituency which I feel has given me valuable experience which I could carry out if elected as a board member. I feel as though I can bring more than just experience to the table, I am a very approachable and open-minded person with a strong commitment to serving the student body by ensuring that I am listening to the Voice of Students. If elected, I can ensure that your voice will always be heard.
I support the Voice of Students slate because we have a shared vision of the positive impact we plan to make on our university.
Here is my platform:
- Promote awareness of the Women's Centre and its availability to ALL students.
- Promoting more female networking and using the Women's Centre as a link to community services and resources.
- Helping females develop the confidence to take on more leadership roles.
