Hey, I'm Bart Soroka, and I'll be running for Vice President Operations and Finance for this year's URSU elections. I'm a nineteen year old, second year Economics in Society and Political Science Major, and have been involved with student organizations since my first week at the university. I was a member of the Economics Student Association, going from member to Vice President External Relations.

I also have sat on the board of the Arts Student Association for two years, first as the Economic Student Director, then as an Ex-Officio member when I sat on the University of Regina Student Union board as the Arts Director. I was a part of Arts CARES in my first year, and offered the opportunity to facilitate this year. I've been actively involved in the Ultimate Frisbee intramurals at the university for two years, and Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) in my second year, focusing on the Green Edge projects for a better environment. If I am elected as VP Operations and Finance, my major goals would be to ensure The Owl's continued profitability, because with that source of revenue, we can ensure that our students and student groups receive adequate funding to fulfill any major goals they have. I will also ensure proper communication between myself and the students. I'm an avid Twitter user, plan to actually utilize the blog that the URSU website has set up, and will hopefully be able to run a report in the Carillon Newspaper to discuss issues weekly.
