Haanim Nur (Voice of Students)
My name is Haanim Nur, and I'm running to be our students' union vice president of operations and finance. I am a first year student in the Faculty of Arts majoring in Human Justice. During these past couple of months, I have had the chance of being a part of some campus clubs including the MSA, Amnesty International and currently serve as the vice president of the UNICEF campus club. This involvement has kept me engaged and active throughout campus and has given me the experience to now seek the vice-president position of URSU. Our team is efficient and well-balanced and we hope we can work together to having a great campus.

Here is our platform:

- Lobby for a tuition freeze;

- Review the locker tax

- Increase funding to student groups and societies;

- Make more money available for events hosted by residence groups;

- Reduce the number of free classes given to URSU executives, and eliminate their discounts at the Owl.

Open budget consultations is a great way to get feedback from all members of the students' union, therefore students have their voices heard and this generates more transparency. This could include postings on the URSU website, Facebook page etc. The voice of students' team stand for inclusiveness of all members and this will work to ensure so.
