Hi, my name is Amber Curtis and I am running for Senate. I am a first year Business student who has enjoyed her time at the U of R. Therefore, I would like an opportunity to represent the student body in a different way. Academic issues are very important to students at the University of Regina. If elected, I will be a strong voice in ensuring that all students are strongly represented in the academic spectrum. I also believe that it is beneficial for URSU elected senate members to be active members in an academic committee on the URSU Board of Directors. On top of this, I participated in campaigning for various campus initiatives and I really enjoyed interacting with students throughout them. I feel that being a first year student will allow me to come into the position with fresh views. I am looking forward to voicing my opinions on issues important to the University community. Also, I plan on communicating among constituencies respectfully and with the best outcome in mind to make our University a better place. Thanks.
