Rebekah Coleridge
My name is Rebekah Coleridge, I am in third year faculty of Arts with a major in History with plans of entering the Faculty of Education. My reason for entering student politics is to educate myself on the ins and outs of URSU and transfer that knowledge to the general student population to facilitate a closer relationship between the people in power and those they represent. This means that I will work towards an even more transparent student union and making URSU more student friendly. My main priorities for this election are recycling, accessibility and accountability. My recycling plan for the university is multidimensional. I have plans to improve the already in-place recycling program on campus as well as implement an e-recycle program and a recycling program for clothing and school supplies. The e-recycling program will allow students to recycle old electronics and ink cartridges. I also plan to create a better relationship between the Carillon and URSU. This means that there will be more informative article written either about URSU or by URSU members regarding what URSU is doing. Lastly, I hope to make the URSU constitution more informative and accessible to the students creating a more accountable student union. I will have a booth during the voting period in the Riddell Centre so come by just to talk or to tell me what you want to see your student union do for you as I am running for the mean not the president.
