Due to my involvement with the URSU over the last two years, I have had the opportunity to be a member on a numerous academic committees at the UofR including the Council Committee on Undergraduate Admissions and Studies, the Planning and Priorities Committee, the Council Disciplinary Committee, and the UofR Senate. These experiences have contributed to a broad understanding of processes around academic decision making at the UofR. I am committed to being an active member of the Senate and ensuring that information is shared with the URSU and student representatives. The ongoing Academic Program Review being undertaken, and a new Vice President Academic hired, this is a critical time to ensure educated student representation on the UofR Senate, our highest academic decision making body. On March 16 and 17, I hope you will choose me to represent students on the UofR Senate.
