My name is Shayna Glass and I am running for the position of Science representative on the URSU board of directors. I am in my third year of studies and looking to be more involved on campus, to help improve our school in any way possible. I first got involved with the Student Union at the beginning of the 2010 fall semester, and have since decided that being an URSU board member is something I want to do. I have worked on many boards during my job as a Dance Instructor, and I feel this experience along with my communication and people skills would make me an excellent candidate for the position.

Although I think the directors before me did their jobs well, there is always room for improvement and new ideas. I would like to see the Science students have more of a voice as we make up a significant percentage of students in our school. I would especially like to assist with the development of the Science Students' Society. There has been a lot of positive change on campus for science students in the past couple years. I want to ensure that continues.

If I were to be elected I would try to help our Student Association operate efficiently, proactively, and with science students' best interests in mind.
