Education Students' Director
Randall Johnson
Hello everyone,
My name is Randall (or Randy) Johnson, and I will be running in the University of Regina Students Union election for a spot on the Board of
Directors in the Education position. I am a third year student at the University in the faculty of Education, where I major in English and
minor in Special Needs. I grew up in the small town of Climax, Saskatchewan where I also attended Climax School and was able to be
involved in student politics in various positions. This involvement in student government carried on to my career in High School in Frontier,
Saskatchewan which was highlighted by a term as SRC president in my graduating year(2008).
My focus in this campaign falls towards three central goals. I want first to be able to work hand in hand with both URSU and the ESS in
order to ensure the progression of both assemblies. This would entail attending all respective meetings, as well as supporting events held by
each group. Secondly, I would like to increase funding to student groups, so that those looking to make campus more enjoyable for all have
more means to do so. Finally, I would like to help confront the skyrocketing rate of tuition, because let's face it, it's getting ridiculous.
Thank you for taking me in to consideration. I hope to see you at the voting stations. If you have any more questions feel free to talk to me.
Sincerely,
Randall Johnson
