Orion Roy-Wright (For Students)
As a student at the University of Regina, I have had the ability, through the Faculty of Arts, to take classes in a great variety of disciplines. Although my focus areas are economics and political science, I have nothing but respect for the other departments within the Arts faculty. The width of scope that an arts degree offers students is, in my opinion, what makes an arts degree so useful in instilling students with a critical and knowledge-seeking mind. This scope also means that, as Arts Director, it is important to pay attention to all the varied views and opinions of the different departments and proceed in a way that benefits them all. This is a task for which I am exceptionally suited. Over my last two years at the U of R, I have been involved in the Political Science, and to a lesser extent, the Economic Student Societies. This experience has given me the desire to increase the amount that I give back to a faculty which has given me so much. It is for this reason that I have decided to run for Arts Director. It is my hope that through this office, I can be a strong voice for all of the varied interests within the Faculty of Arts.
