Introduction

URSU holds an annual General Election in accordance with the URSU Constitution to elect a new Executive, Senate, and Board of Directors. Elections are open to all URSU members (All students with the exception of ESL students). Those interested in running for a position are to first pick up a nomination package (or download and print a copy from this site), fill out the required information, and submit it to URSU no later than 4:00PM CST, February 12th, 2010. From that date, candidates are notified that they may begin campaigning and a campaign period begins until the first day of voting. All students are encouraged to vote. On March 5th, the candidates that are elected into a position are announced with the results of the election.

Nomination Period - Feb 2nd to 12th

Nomination Period is now Over.

Campaign Period - Feb 22nd to Mar 2nd

A campaign period for candidates will run during the above dates, starting 8:30am and ending 5:00pm. During this time, candidates may post posters advertising to students and promoting themselves. All campaign material MUST be taken down by the end of the campaign period.

Advanced Voting

Advanced Voting opens on March 1st. During this time, students who wish to vote early or are unable to vote during official voting dates may take this oppourtunity to vote. Voting stations are located across campus and access to voting can be made by any electronic device that can access the Internet and load UR-SELF SERVICE.

Official Voting

Voting officially starts on March 3th and 4th. Voting stations will be located across campus in most buildings and at dedicated computer stations at the URSU Computer Lab for students wishing to vote on campus. Students are also able to vote at their own leisure by visiting UR Self-Service (http://uregina.ca) and logging in with their student ID number and PIN.

Results

Voting results will be announced via Facebook, Twitter, and the URSU Website (on this page).
